The Basilica became my spiritual home in 2003, when I moved to Minneapolis from Santa Cruz, California. I was immediately drawn to the Basilica’s beautiful architecture, inspiring staff, and openness to all who entered its doors. I joined the lector ministry in 2004, starting out as a sub before joining and ultimately leading a team. I love our Basilica’s liturgies and am honored to participate in our worship as a Eucharistic Minister and, with my children, a Minister of Hospitality. I also coordinate lectors for special liturgies, pray for those on our weekly prayer list, participate in family faith formation programs, and try to help out when there are one-off needs I can meet. During the pandemic, my faith in Jesus and love for the Basilica, its staff, and my fellow parishioners deepened. I am committed to the Basilica and its mission, especially during this time of great transition. I have been married to Michael Cameron for 18 years and we share three wonderful children. I have worked for Hennepin County District Court for eight years. In the past, I have volunteered at the Walker Art Center, Kenwood Elementary School, Restorative Justice Community Action, and Guthrie Theater; I also chaired the Grace Neighborhood Nursery School Board for two years. I have a law degree from the University of Minnesota, and master’s and bachelor’s degrees in the performing arts. I enjoy reading, creative writing, being outside, and getting to know Jesus through worship and scripture.
