Karen Capiz Parish Council Vice-Chair

Karen Capiz has been a parish member and volunteer at The Basilica since 2010. Having been a lifelong Protestant, Karen joined the Catholic faith at The Basilica. She strongly believes in the mission of The Basilica and its commitment to supporting everyone on their faith journey.

She has been a Parish Council member since 2023, served on the Landmark Board 2013-2019, was a longtime facilitator in the Pathways program, provides support to The Basilica art program, and is an EMHC team leader.

Karen is retired after working for 3M Company in Health Care Product Marketing and Sales for 34 years. She and her husband live in Mendota Heights. In addition to volunteering at The Basilica, she enjoys walking, reading and traveling.
