Teri Larson has served as Choral Director/Director of Music since the fall of 1995. She oversees the music program, leads the 90-voice Cathedral Choir, the semi-professional Schola Cantorum, and the Cathedral Choristers. Ms Larson founded the children’s choral program, which spans all ages, Pre-K through High School. She plans music for the parish community, develops special liturgies as well as Archdiocesan liturgical celebrations. Ms. Larson founded the junior cantor ministry at The Basilica, a tiered program to incorporate youth as music leaders. She has served as a Repertoire and Standards Chair / Worship for ACDA-MN; is acting president for the local chapter of the Twin Cities Choristers Guild and is currently President-Elect for the National Board of Directors for Choristers Guild, which fosters the singing of youth in the worship setting. She has conducted festivals and honors choirs across the nation through ACDA / AGO and NPM. Her choirs have been selected to appear at both regional and national ACDA conventions.
Ms. Larson holds degrees from St. Olaf College, Northfield, MN and St. Cloud State University. She is a member of The Conference of Roman Catholic Cathedral Musicians, Pueri Cantores, and Choristers Guild.
