Tomy Vettukallel Associate Coordinator of Liturgical Celebrations

Tomy Vettukallel joined The Basilica staff in April 2022 as the Assistant Coordinator of Liturgical Celebrations. Originally from Southern California, he moved to the Twin Cities to pursue a Juris Doctor at the University of St. Thomas Law school, which he received in May 2024. Tomy graduated from the University of San Diego with a Bachelor’s Degree in business, where he also served as the chapel student coordinator at Founders Chapel. After he graduated in 2020, he spent a year with the Jesuit Volunteer Corps volunteering at the New Orleans Public Defender’s Office. While at St. Thomas, Tomy served as the student sacristan for the Chapel of St. Thomas More, worked for the Initiative on Restorative Justice and Healing, and was a scholar for the Murphy Institute, a partnership between the School of Law and the Center for Catholic Studies.
