Wendy Cichanski Caduff Coordinator of Caring Ministries

Wendy joined The Basilica staff in 2018.  Prior to joining the staff of The Basilica, Wendy served in parish ministry for 19 years, in two different dioceses.  Wendy holds a MA degree in Pastoral Ministry from St. John’s University School of Theology and Seminary in Collegeville, MN.  She has been formed by strong women in the Benedictine tradition and by the work of feminist theologians.  Embracing her baptismal call and rooted in Catholic Social Thought, she finds it a joy and privilege to serve in ministry. In her position as Coordinator of Caring Ministries at The Basilica, Wendy works closely with the pastoral care needs of the parish. Wendy is married and the mother of two young children, a testament in love to the power of adoption. Wendy has co-authored Liturgy and Ministry in Times of Need (LTP), is a contributing writer for the award-winning publication, Give Us This Day (Liturgical Press) and hones her ability to write about the ordinariness of everyday life in her weekly newsletter on Substack, “Making Space.”  Wendy enjoys book clubs, yoga, wild birds, perennial gardens, and spending time near woods and water.
