In partnership with the Lawyers Guild of St. Thomas More, the Holloran Center, in honor of Thomas Holloran, at the University of St. Thomas School of Law, and the Initiative on Restorative Justice and Healing (IRJH) at the University of Saint Thomas School of Law, the 2024 Annual Red Mass will be celebrated at The Basilica of Saint Mary.
The Red Mass tradition originated in 13th century Europe, where it was celebrated before the opening of the Ecclesiastical Courts. All lawyers, canon lawyers, judges and others involved in the administration of justice – along with their families – are invited to Mass and lunch to follow.
Law School professors and judges are invited to attend in their professional regalia.
There will be no Noon Mass in the Saint Joseph Chapel. Those who attend daily Mass at Noon are invited to attend the Red Mass in The Basilica.
Free Parking is available on 17th Street, the parking lot behind The Basilica and the parking lot across from The Basilica School
Accessible parking is available in the Cowley parking lot. You may enter this parking lot via 16th Street.
There is free parking in the lot beneath the I-94 overpass. Please do not park in reserved/contract spaces.
There is a fee if you choose to park in the MCTC ramp on 16th Street.
