Lindsey Young is a Twin Cities-based writer and storyteller for the Minnesota Vikings on a full-time basis and (soon!) for children. She grew up in Anoka, Minnesota, and is a graduate of the University of Northwestern – St. Paul. Once an especially cautious and sensitive child and now an equally sensitive and anxious adult, she feels things deeply and seeks ways to use her own mental health journey to support and encourage others. Lindsey hopes to tell stories that make a difference and remind people along the way they are immensely loved. It’s for that reason she brought to fruition “Getting Open” – a content series for the Minnesota Vikings aimed at breaking down the stigma around mental illness and mental health support, in the world of professional athletics and beyond. She’s a believer in Jesus, a friend, a daughter and sister, an auntie and a dog mom to the world’s best goldendoodle. She loves snail mail, photography and bright colors, and she owns way too many pairs of glasses.
