Biblical Foundations of Laudato Si
Sunday, October 8, 11:00am
Teresa of Calcutta Hall
Pope Francis issued the papal encyclical Laudato Si – “On Care for Our Common Home” in 2015. This important document speaks of human responsibility for care of creation, and in it, Pope Francis speaks of many different biblical themes: Creation, Sabbath, stewardship, the Incarnation, the Eucharist, etc.
Join professor Kathryn Schifferdecker of Luther Seminary to explore some of these biblical themes. We will look at specific biblical texts and see what Scripture says about God’s care for creation and our call as beings created in God’s image to do the same. Please register to join us in person.
