Criminal Justice Ministry Advocacy Team

The Criminal Justice Ministry established itself to examine the intersection of criminal justice and mental health of adults in our community.  The Advocacy Team of that ministry is now looking at Juvenile Justice and Mental Health and we invite you to join us as we educate ourselves on this topic.

Meetings will be held the third Tuesday of the month at The Basilica from 5:30 – 7:00pm and will include dinner, presentations by community experts, and discussion.

There will be a Zoom option as well.

February 24 Meeting – Come join us for our ongoing discussions around Juvenile Justice and Mental Health with voice of experience presenter Kevin Reese. Kevin grew up in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He spent 14 years incarcerated inside of the criminal justice system. During that time he founded the BRIDGE, a grassroots group of directly impacted criminal justice experts and currently is the Co-Founder and Co-Executive Director at Until We Are All Free Movement and the Founder and CEO of Until We Are All Free Consulting Group. He is an 2018 AWP intro Journals project award winner for poetry published in the Hayden Ferry Review. He can be found featured in Emily Baxter’s internationally acclaimed book We Are All Criminals. He has a running column ” Bridging the Gap” in the Minnesota Spokesmen Recorder.
