ICOM Vigil

Across from the Whipple Federal Building

Join Basilica parishioners in an interfaith vigil of prayer and song supporting our immigrant brothers and sisters. The Whipple Federal Building is the regional ICE headquarters for a five-state area, and the site of both immigrant detention facilities and an immigration court. The Basilica parishioners are active partners with the Interfaith Coalition on Immigration.

Due to recent DHS restrictions on entering the Whipple Federal Building property, this month’s vigil will be held on the sidewalk in front of the Fred Wells Tennis & Education Center (across the street from the east entrance into the Whipple Federal Building.) Parking at the Fort Snelling Park and Ride South Lot is recommended — this is just past the Fred Wells Tennis & ED. Center. Participants can also join via zoom. (Zoom link will be available on mary.org/immigration before the Vigil .)
