29th Annual Icon Festival
Exhibit: October 28–November 26
The Festival opens with a procession of Icons during the 9:30 and 11:30am Masses on Sunday, October 29. Icons dating from the 17th century to contemporary time will be displayed in the sanctuary.
Our popular annual Icon Festival began in 1995 with the intention to educate parishioners and the community about the history and significance of Icons, a tradition that is centuries old yet very much a part of today’s world. Catholics and Christians from different Orthodox Churches in the Twin Cities work together on the exhibit and other events. The Festival provides opportunities for the communities and individuals involved to learn more about each other through art and music.
