The Criminal Justice Ministry established itself to examine the intersection of criminal justice and mental health of adults in our community.  The Advocacy Team of that ministry is now looking at Juvenile Justice and Mental Health and we invite you to join us as we educate ourselves on this topic.

Meetings will be held the third Tuesday of the month at The Basilica from 5:30 – 7:00pm and will include dinner, presentations by community experts, and discussion.

There will be a Zoom option as well.

  • August 19 with Christine Morales, Basilica member and Minnesota Adult and Teen Challenge staff on ACES: Adverse Childhood Experiences.
  • September 16 with Ann Ellison of Mental Health Connect on Hope in the Face of ACES: Adverse Childhood Experiences
  • October 21 with Melissa Dau of the State of Minnesota’s Department of Children and Families discussing Children of Incarcerated Parents
  • November 18 with Elliot Butay of NAMI-MN discussing NAMI’s Legislative Agenda and what The Basilica’s Advocacy Team can do to help
