The Council of Nicaea as a Symbolon of Hope

Bio – Michael Hollerich is an emeritus professor of church history at the University of St. Thomas, where he taught for 29 years before retiring in 2022. Previously he taught at Santa Clara, Luther College, St. Mary’s College, and Notre. He has a Ph.D. In the History of Christianity from the University of Chicago, an MTS from Harvard Divinity School, and a Bachelor’s degree in theology from Notre Dame. His areas of research include early Christian history and modern German Catholic history. His most recent book is Making Christian History: Eusebius of Caesarea and His Readers.
