The Solemnity of Pentecost, celebrated 50 days after Easter, commemorates the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles, marking the birth of the Church. It’s also a reminder of the gift of the Holy Spirit and the beginning of the Church’s mission to spread the Gospel. The liturgical color for Pentecost is red. Wear your red to celebrate the day.
