The relics of three remarkable saints are coming to the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis. The Basilica will be a host site for the relics of Saint Thérèse of Lisieux and her parents Sts. Louis and Zélie Martin.

Saint Thérèse had a simple yet powerful message that still resonates in the hearts of millions today. Her “Little Way” of allowing God to work through her life has become a guiding light for the faithful.

Noon: Reception of Relics and Mass in the Saint Joseph Chapel
1:00pm-6:00pm: Public Veneration of Relics, Saint Joseph Chapel
Veneration will be paused  for Baptisms from 4:30-5:00pm

Sunday, October 8, THE BASILICA
9:30am: Solemn Eucharist with Reception of the Relics (Livestreamed)
11:00am-3:00pm: Public Veneration of Relics 
3:00pm: Solemn Vespers with Blessing of Roses
4:00pm-6:00pm: Public Veneration of Relics

Frequently Asked Questions:
 

Where should I park? Parking can be found around The Basilica of Saint Mary. Please feel free to park in spaces that say “Basilica Parking”. The Minneapolis Community and Technical College charges a $5 fee for parking. If you are traveling as a group by bus, please contact Rámond.

Will we be able to touch the relics?
You may touch he reliquaries during the periods of veneration listed.  

Will private or group tours be available?
Tours will not be available but you will be able to pick up a guided tour map at the entrance of The Basilica.  

Are photos allowed?
Yes, photos are allowed. We ask that you refrain from flash photography and taking photos during liturgies out of respect for other worshipers.  

Will there be religious articles on sale?
No, there will not be. You are allowed to bring your own religious articles to touch against the relics. We ask that you not bring your own votive candles. Votive candles will be available at The Basilica.  

Will I be able to leave a prayer intention?
Yes, you will be able to. A book will be made available for intentions. These will be prayed for at the closing mass on Tuesday October 10th.
