Celebrate the Pilgrimage A Jubilee Year is a special holy year of pilgrimage and grace in the Catholic Church, proclaimed by the Pope every 25 years.
Pilgrims of Hope: A Series of Lectures on the Gift of Christian Hope during the Jubilee Year 2025
As we walk through a world full of transition and division, The Basilica is eager to engage this timely and important theme of Christian Hope. To that end The Basilia will host a monthly lecture by different speakers highlighting various facets of hope in our lives and hope in our times.
The Holy Year of Jubilee 2025 by Johan Van Parys
It is also a time of righting relationships with one another by striving for peace, justice, and equality. In Spes Non Confundit or “Hope does not disappoint” (Rom 5:5), the Papal Bull that officially established the Holy Year of Jubilee 2025, Pope Francis implores us to be “tangible signs of hope for those brothers and sisters who experience hardships of any kind” and thus right our relationship with God and one another.

The Catholic Spirit
The Jubilee Prayer
Father in heaven,
may the faith you have given us
in your son, Jesus Christ, our brother,
and the flame of charity enkindled
in our hearts by the Holy Spirit,
reawaken in us the blessed hope
for the coming of your Kingdom.
May your grace transform us
into tireless cultivators of the seeds of the Gospel.
May those seeds transform from within
both humanity and the whole cosmos
in the sure expectation
of a new heaven and a new earth,
when, with the powers of Evil vanquished,
your glory will shine eternally.
May the grace of the Jubilee
reawaken in us, Pilgrims of Hope,
a yearning for the treasures of heaven.
May that same grace spread
the joy and peace of our Redeemer
throughout the earth.
To you our God, eternally blessed,
be glory and praise for ever.
Amen
