February 1, 2026, marked the 100th anniversary of The Basilica of Saint Mary being named America’s first basilica.
Join us on this inspiring journey to restore beauty, strengthen community, and foster justice. Here is the exciting news: in the first phase of the campaign we have raised more than 34 million dollars toward our 45 million dollar goal – more than 75% of our overall goal.
Today we are publicly launching the Restoring Beauty, Inspiring Hope capital campaign to restore and preserve The Basilica of Saint Mary for present and future generations. Recent events in our city have shown that The Basilica’s mission is as important and relevant as ever. This campaign will ensure that the Basilica remains a place of hope, healing, and spiritual renewal and continues to foster a community that cares for the vulnerable and for those in need.
Your generous support is vital to our success in reaching our ambitious goal. Please join me in supporting this remarkable endeavor—and in praying, through the intercession of our patroness, Saint Mary, for the restoration of our beloved Basilica. May God richly bless this endeavor, and may St. Mary, our patroness and friend, generously intercede on our behalf.
