Basilica staff and volunteers are preparing to relocate liturgies to Teresa of Calcutta Hall after Holy Week and Easter, beginning April 6.
We are deeply grateful for your patience and understanding as our normal routines are temporarily disrupted.
Our regular Mass schedule will continue. Worship in the lower level will still be a sacred and meaningful experience.
During the restoration, The Basilica’s primary worship space will be Teresa of Calcutta Hall (TOCH) on the lower level.

FAQs
Attendee Entrance and Exit
To improve traffic flow, entry to the TOCH worship space is through the ground level doors (1 and 7).
To prevent delays when exiting, the moat doors (8,10, 23, and 25) will serve as the primary exit and are exit only. Exit through the Art Gallery is discouraged, except for those who need to use the elevator for accessibility needs.
TOCH Usage
Teresa of Calcutta Hall will be dedicated as a sacred space for worship and will no longer be available for social gatherings during the restoration.
Outreach Ministry
The St. Vincent de Paul outreach ministry will move to the Cowley Center on April 7. The program will pause for two weeks to prepare for the move.
Space Capacity
TOCH will generally accommodate Mass attendance, with seating for approximately 440 people.
After Mass Hospitality
Donuts and coffee will be available after morning Masses in the Art Gallery.
Choirs
The choirs will continue to sing for the regular Mass schedule.
Candles
Prayer candle racks will not be available in the lower level due to open flame restrictions.
Kneelers
We will not have kneelers in the lower level.
Weddings and Funerals
Weddings will not be held in TOCH. Funerals will be held in TOCH and St. Joseph Chapel.
St. Joseph Chapel
St. Joseph Chapel will remain available for daily Mass and prayer.
Church Tours
Public tours will be on hold during the restoration. Media may schedule hard hat tours through the communications department.
Livestream
We will livestream 9:30am Mass from TOCH.
