As we approach the end of the calendar year, we pause to reflect on the many blessings in our lives and give thanks to God for these gifts. This season is also a time when many consider making charitable contributions to the organizations they value most.
Your generosity to The Basilica helps us continue our mission of welcoming all, serving those in need, and providing beautiful liturgies and programs that enrich our community.

Common Giving Options
- Online Giving: Visit mary.org/give to make a secure gift using your credit card, direct debit, PayPal or Venmo. You can also set up a recurring gift to support our mission and work throughout the year.
- Gifts of Stock: Donating appreciated securities can be a tax-efficient way to give. When you transfer stock directly, you avoid paying capital gains tax on the appreciation, and you may receive a charitable deduction for the full fair market value of the stock. This can be especially beneficial if you have held the stock for more than on year.

Questions? Contact Char Myhre at 612.317.3498 or cmyhre@mary.org. - Donor-Advised Funds: If you have a donor-advised fund, you can recommend a grant to The Basilica. This is a simple and impactful way to support our mission.
- Qualified Charitable Contributions (QCDs): If you are 70½ or older, you can make a gift directly from your IRA to The Basilica. A QCD allows you to donate without counting the distribution as taxable income. This option can also satisfy all or part of your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) for the year. Contact your IRA administrator to arrange a QCD and ensure the check is made payable to The Basilica of Saint Mary.
